Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Email address: when you purchase (via Stripe) and when you sign in. Your purchase is linked to that email so signing in with it unlocks the toolkit.
• Checkout questions: your name, your college, and if you answer them, your expected graduation year and the name of whoever referred you. We use them to understand who buys and to thank the people who send students our way.
• Free 30-day plan requests: if you ask for the plan PDF on the free guide, we keep your email address to send it and the occasional recruiting tip. Every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link. To stop repeat sends and abuse, we also keep a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address for one day.
• Name and target firms/roles: when you submit the resume review intake form.
• Your resume: when you upload it to the intake form or email it to us for review.
• Sign-in details: when you sign in we email you a one-time code (stored only in hashed form, and only until it expires). For each signed-in device we keep the session's start time, IP address and browser type, so we can keep you signed in, limit each account to 3 devices, and spot misuse. Sessions expire after 30 days without a visit.
• Cookies: sign-in cookies that keep you logged in, and one that remembers you've finished the Start here page. They're needed for the toolkit to work. Your reading progress is saved in your browser's localStorage; we cannot read that storage.
• Our own analytics: two first-party cookies, a random visitor ID and the first link or site that brought you (for example a club's QR code). With them we count page views, free plan requests, clicks on the buy button, sign-ins and orders, so we can see which links lead to sign-ups and sales. When you click buy, the same random ID goes to Stripe with your order. No IP address, browser details or advertising profile is kept, and it is never shared or used for ads. If your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, none of this is recorded.

How we use it

To deliver your purchase, sign you in, deliver your resume review, answer support email, and, if you asked for the free plan, send it and the occasional recruiting tip until you unsubscribe. Nothing else.

Processors

Stripe processes payments. Resend sends transactional email, including sign-in codes. Neon hosts our database (your email, purchase record, sign-in sessions and plan requests). Vercel hosts the site and provides aggregate, cookie-less analytics and page-speed measurements (page views, referrers and load times, with no cross-site tracking and no advertising profile). Our own analytics above are stored in our database. We do not sell your data, and this site runs no ad trackers.
